Angie Taylor is an author, animator, creative director and illustrator. She studied Fine Art at Edinburgh College of Art before stints as prop-maker, deejay and cartoonist. Eventually embarking on a fourteen year career as a designer, producing animation, visual effects and motion graphics for television and film.
Angie also provided bespoke consultancy and training on creative projects to companies including; BBC; Channel 4; Channel 5; Carlton; HTV; B Sky B; MTV; Skype. She is regularly employed in the software industry as a product specialist, regularly touring with companies including Adobe and Apple. She can be seen regularly at international trade shows and conferences like NAB, IBC, Flash on the Beach and Macworld, delivering seminars, presentations and software demonstrations on creative digital filmmaking and animation processes.
Angie's credits include animation and post-production on Rubber Johnny, a collaboration with director Chris Cunningham, musician Aphex Twin, and Warp Records; visual effects on the multi-award-winning short film Hibernation, directed by John Williams; and animation and design with UK-based design house D-Fuse for Beck's groundbreaking DVD album, Guero.
Angie is the author of three books; “Design Essentials for the Motion Media Artist” “Creative After Effects 5” and “Creative After Effects 7”, published by Focal Press. She is also co-author of the "After Effects CS6 Learn by Video" and "Adobe Illustrator CS6 - Learn by Video" products.
Angie is a Lynda.com author and with them has created several video training workshops on Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects and the principles of motion graphic design.
